With top brass from the insurance community invited to enjoy renowned Markerstudy hospitality, everyone was fair game for hi-jinks, Spencer style.
An ‘Award Ceremony’ rounded off a riotous Christmas lunch at Anton Mosimann’s private dining club in Belgravia.
Although we can’t divulge all the nomination details (due to threat of an injunction!) categories and nominees follow:
1. Award for ‘Longest Serving, never opened a brown envelope to get the sack’

2. Award for ‘Did I make the right career move?’

Brendan Devine, Kwik-Fit – for his role in ‘I’ve just joined Kwik-Fit but it’s been sold from under me
Ross Brown, Igo4 – for his role in ‘I was at Kwik-Fit but I was sold from under it’

3. Award for Best dressed industry personality

It’s important to explain the judging criteria…
a) Love life (say no more!)
b) Wealth – taking into account how rich they are, and adding into the equation the ‘short arms/deep pockets’ scenario
c) Longevity – how long have they been in the industry and the impression they have on their colleagues and friends
