Martyn Holman to head up new Markerstudy commercial offering, Guild Business Insurance

Markerstudy has announced that it is launching a new commercial venture, Guild Business Insurance. Headed up by Martyn Holman, Group Commercial Director, who has significant plans to grow the commercial division, Guild Business Insurance is designed to provide its broker partners with substantial added value in the commercial lines market with a focus on growing rated commercial products specifically aimed at businesses, via a dedicated team based in Whitstable.
 
Guild Business Insurance will launch in 2018, led by Martyn and supported by Stuart Dickinson, Head of Commercial, and Jim Wylie, Broker Manager. It will include three distinct distribution categories, catering for large to small books of business, specialising in the acceptance of risks that are unusual or non-standard, and that are often difficult or time consuming to place.
 
Martyn Holman, Group Commercial Director commented: “It is my belief that we have some of the most experienced people in the industry able to provide support in this area and that we can bring something unique to brokers looking for products that require specific understanding that might be lost elsewhere. We are bold in our plans for Guild and extremely confident that what we are able to offer is unavailable elsewhere in the market.”  
 
Markerstudy acquired Chaucer Insurance in 2015 and rebranded to Zenith Marque as part of the agreement terms with Hanover. The current commercial motor products available through Zenith Marque will remain under the existing brand.
