Sporting Heroes!
Wednesday March 23, 2016

Over 100 individuals, including Broker Management team members, Nick Hancock and Stacey Ottley, valiantly gave up their Friday night on 18th March to take donation calls at Chaucer Direct’s contact centre in Whitstable for Sport Relief 2016 – one of the UK’s biggest fundraising events.
Staff and their friends and family, wearing sporty fancy dress, helped take calls from 7pm to midnight from members of the public wanting to pledge funds for the cause. They also had help from former Fiji International Rugby star, Nicky Little, Wheelchair Rugby Paralympian, Andy Barrow and racing driver, Rick Parfitt Jnr, who recently showcased his GT3 Bentley emblazoned with new brand name Geoffrey, which will replace Chaucer Direct from April.
“We are so impressed with all of our staff and their friends and families for their support this Sport Relief,” said Russell Wilson, who heads up the contact centre. “Every year they dedicate their own time to help make it a great success by taking donation calls. It was a fantastic night with an incredible atmosphere and they really did themselves proud by participating in our own fundraising activities too.”
